Helsinki Education and Research Area (HERA) is a consortium of higher education institutions, consisting of seven universities and eight universities of applied sciences in the Helsinki Metropolitan Area. HERA’s mission is to develop the Helsinki region as an attractive place to live, learn, work and do business.

HERA International focuses on supporting the internationalization of higher education institutions as well as developing services for international students and personnel. The HERA network cooperation supports the recruitment process for international students and faculty and strengthens the regional brand in cooperation with regional and other partners.
